The problem

Steel studs create significant thermal bridges. Those bridges can cut the effective R-value of cavity insulation by 40–70%, raise peak heating and cooling loads, and increase the risk of condensation at the stud–drywall interface.

The solution

Cool Stud is a thin phase-change strip applied directly to the steel stud web. It absorbs and releases latent heat at a controlled temperature — reducing peak heat flow, shifting thermal loads by 2–6 hours, and stabilizing interior surface temperatures through daily cycles.

EnigMat PCM Blanket

A heat barrier for walls, ceilings, and attics

EnigMat PCM Blankets turn the building envelope of homes and commercial buildings into a passive climate-control layer. The phase-change core absorbs peak heat during the day, holds it while it changes state, then releases it after conditions cool — flattening indoor temperature swings and cutting the runtime your HVAC needs to keep up.
