The EnigMat PCM Blanket, priced and ready to install

Flexible phase-change blankets that absorb peak heat and release it overnight. Installs over existing decking, joists, and rack tops with standard fasteners.

For facility managers, that means fewer compressor starts, shorter cooling cycles, and a 2–6 hour thermal lag that shifts load away from peak-rate hours. It works alongside existing batt, blown, or spray-foam insulation — complementing R-value rather than replacing it.

Where it goes

Four placements that pay

EnigMat PCM blankets installed across a building envelope as a heat barrier
Blankets install over existing framing, decking, and attic joists with standard fasteners.

Walls

Behind drywall or over sheathing, the blanket buffers solar gain through the wall assembly and steadies interior surface temperatures.

Ceilings & plenums

Above ceiling joists or on the ceiling plane, it slows the downward heat push from hot roof cavities so upper floors stop overheating.

Attics & ductwork

Rolled over attic insulation and around duct runs, it cuts attic peak temperatures and protects the ducts that waste the most cooling.

Roofs & warehouse envelopes

Laid over decking or purlins on large-span buildings, it flattens afternoon peaks across the whole conditioned volume.

Field installation

Four steps, no downtime

A typical 1,200 ft retrofit is completed by a two-person crew in a single shift, with no specialty trades and no operational shutdown.

Measure & plan

Confirm linear footage along the thermal envelope — wall runs, ceiling planes, attic joist bays, or roof decking. Add a small overage for trim allowance and joint overlap.

Prep the surface

Sweep the substrate clean. No primer or adhesive is required — blankets sit directly over decking, joists, sheathing, or rack tops.

Lay & fasten

Run blankets in the long direction, overlap seams 2″, and secure with #8 self-tapping screws or 11″ cable ties every 24″.

Verify coverage

Walk the run for gaps at penetrations, ducts, and edges. Continuous coverage is what delivers the 2–6 hour thermal lag.

Tools required

Tape measure · utility knife · cordless driver · #8 screws or 11″ cable ties

Crew & time

2 installers · ~150 ft / hour · no specialty trades or shutdown
